This participatory workshop brought together development practitioners, faculty members and students to reflect on the implications of spiritual principles on development thought and action. These are principles such as justice and the oneness of humanity; people’s perception of the exalted nature of work when performed in the spirit of selfless service; their conception of the potential for nobility inherent to the human being that can be cultivated as a source of altruistic and moral initiative and of the appropriate attitude to the earning and expenditure of wealth. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Arash Fazli of the Bahá’í Chair.
